This knob was originally for the Cook County Courthouse in downtown Chicago on a custom plate showing the Cook County seal, and manufactured by Yale & Towne. When the City of Chicago completed their half of the building a few years later, the plates had the City seal and were manufactured by Sargent. Yale sold this knob commercially as the Ostuni design, which is shown on page 704 of the 1910 catalog.
