The Alaska Building in Seattle, WA was the first steel frame skyscraper in Seattle when opened in 1904.  The building was home to the Alaska Club and faced with terra cotta on the exterior by architects Eames & Young.  The cast iron hardware simply shows the letter A, contrasting distinctly with the marble interior found in the Alaska Building interior.
