The Pabst Building was Milwaukee's first skyscraper, built in Neo-Gothic style in 1891.  The cast iron doorknobs by Chicago Hardware show the logo for the Best brewery.  Jacob Best and later his son Philip managed the company until passing the business to Philip's son-in-law Captain Frederick Pabst.  While the brand changed to Pabst, the Best logo remained.
