Federal Eagle
An engraved knob showing the federal eagle, from the 1897 United States Mint in Denver, CO. The knob and lock were found together. The knob attachment appears to be based on the Corbin attachment patent #487416, maybe a early version that used the whole and special tool. There were two Shannon companies in Philadelphia J.B. Shannon and J. Jacob Shannon. One of them may have been jobber for the project.
