Cast iron with bronze rim.   Shown in 1895 Branford catalog pages 185 -190. This catalog is identified as the Branford Lock Works Department of Yale & Towne Manufacturing. No description is given of the construction of knob. The 1910 Yale catalog identifies the knob,M-10601,  as cast iron.  Pictured below is an example of a copper finish applied to a cast iron knob.
