The U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, MD completed the main  section of Bancroft Hall to be the sole dormitory space for cadets, to designs by Ernest Flagg.  Additional wings were added to house a growing number of cadets for the expanding U.S. Navy, and now covers 33 acres of floor space.  Yale & Towne masterfully cast the Naval Academy seal for the doorknobs, including the motto "Ex scientia tridens", which translates as "from knowledge, seapower".
